My first post

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.
Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities
English novelist (1812 - 1870)

Isn't it funny? A new blog for me and today marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens one of my all time favourite authors.

Is that auspicious? I certainly hope so.

As to what the content of this blog is going to be? I have  yet to decide. I have a couple of blogs that cater for my various needs... well for my different personalities... interesting that.

Maybe it's a good thing that I am giving voice to all the voices instead of keeping them contained (grin)

I will leave you with another Dickens quote as a thought:...  Minds like bodies, will often fall into a pimpled, ill-conditioned state from mere excess of comfort
